You say you and E-sens are bff, yet you don’t know shit about the inside story.ĭo I need to tell you everything, rubbing your ears? Thanks for being knocked out first, fucking Moon Ji-hoon. Look at him regretting the past when you were his CEO. You wouldn’t know how that innocent fucker got distressed. Why did you try to put him a manager before showing him your shitty contract.Įven tried to fuckin’ easily steal the name 'South Town’. J-tong that you love, why would I steal him.įuck JM, Why are you not mentioning that you restrained him before. Now just keep biting an apple in your mouth. I meant it 100% when I told you to have a drink together. You had to just fucking die there, fainting. When you were talking that part you sounded like you were dying, out of breath. Do you think I poked like that? Fuck, no. The talks that I was arranged for it, began first when Ugly duck stretched the meaning. The show they go to see your tities, Just Jam. If I was scared of you, I would have cut your throat first.īut you’re a fucker that’s weirdly a necessary evil. You knelt in front of a contract.įucking pig, you’re still not cooked well on the grill. Show Me The Money bullshit.īrand new pussy. You go to the first place only after you sell my name. Honestly, in this blood shit splattering fight, I’m gonna bleed, I’ll become a reason to live, like when you look for the god when you want to die. The damage caused as I’ve been avoiding, has become a chance. People say, I’ve become a victim of the victims. I hide myself who adapted sensibly without E-sens. Had to stand up lonely outside of the canvas of verses I got tired of writing.īlaming the maladjustment inside the system now is funny. There was nothing I could do other than making money. In the struggles without shields, I always pretended I’m the winner. In this causeless dispute, there’s surely my fault, too. What’s left at the end of the scene of unaudible shouts is only overdrinking that hurts stomach. The fight leads to a next bit where there’s no answer. The one I’ve always grabbed at one side was my brother’s wrist. In a position where I can’t judge this battle between them in one’s favor, I was quite problematic, too, but their fate didn’t allign. Don’t be careless.Į-sens versus Amoeba Culture, E-sens versus Dynamic duo. Hold on.Į-sens woudn’t diss me that vaguely. The rage formed by indifference and onlooking is changing the dynamics of the scene. Now that fangs are revealed just like how Dynamic Duo’s music should be,Į-sens wanted them to insult and hit him. Yeah, the label that has been pretending as good folks? It’s become a poison for someone, and became a weapon for me. Major, surviving for the last five years. In a real-life superhero move, Downey Jr. A rotating cube and orbiting satellite tell the time instead of traditional hands and markers, while a “control” board indicates night and day and an “oil change” indicator signals when the watch needs to be serviced. Crafted from lightweight titanium with an asymmetrical 18-karat rose-gold bezel, the watch presented a radical new way of telling time when it was first introduced in 2011. It was the perfect instrument for Tony Stark aka Iron Man, the billionaire business magnate and inventor-turned-superhero. But the star ultimately used his real-life superpowers to procure the timepiece for his on-set wardrobe. The company initially turned down Downey Jr.’s inquiry about the watch, suspecting they had received a prank call. The watch, hand-selected by the actor, was chosen to accompany Iron Man on his mission to combat evil. But his biggest blockbuster was his Urwerk UR-110RG, which he wore as Iron Man in the Marvel Comics film Spider-Man: Homecoming. His collection includes everything from a Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX3 Tourbillon GMT (worn in Iron Man 2) and an Omega Speedmaster Moon Professional to a Rolex GMT Master II “Ghost” customized by Bamford Watch Department and a Bell & Ross BR 01-94 Titanium Orange (gifted to him by Ben Stiller after wrapping Tropic Thunder), to name just a few. is not only renowned for his epic film career, but also for being a true watch aficionado. wearing Urwerk UR-110RG at the Spider-Man: Homecoming premiere While the placement of the watches in the film were unpaid, the British watchmaker was so closely connected to the film that Vaughn even invited Bremont cofounder Nick English for a brief guest appearance in the film as a Kingsman agent. For the film, Bremont developed three new special-edition Kingsman watches-a world timer (worn by Kingsman agents Colin Firth and Michael Caine), a DLC model worn by apprentice agent Eggsy (Taron Egerton), and a steel world timer for Kingsman’s head of new recruits (Mark Strong). So it was only natural that Vaughn sought out British watchmaker Bremont for timepieces to be worn by his leading men. Scenes from the movie include shots at Huntsman on Savile Row. Stallone announced he was leaving the franchise-which has grossed $804.1 million at the box office-and not returning for a fourth installment despite a lucrative pay deal, according to Deadline.Įnsuring that he and Richard Mille would still see some action together, Stallone and the watchmaker recently unveiled the ultimate survivalist timepiece, the RM 25-01, which comes with a tourbillon, a mountable compass, a level, and a cache of water-purification tablets, retailing for a cool $983,000.Īrgo (2012): Ben Affleck, Rolex Deepsea Sea-DwellerĬolin Firth wearing Bremont in Kingsman: The Secret Serviceĭirector Matthew Vaughn’s first installment in the Kingsman franchise saw its special agents dapperly dressed in the best of the best of British attire-the original Kingsman is about a spy network whose front is a high-class London tailor’s shop. You might think that a $125,000 watch would be too precious to brave explosions, heavy-duty combat fire, runaway trains, parkour-style building jumps, and pretty much every stunt you could ever dream up, but only a 50 mm titanium piece at 17.80 mm thick such as this could handle that kind of action on Sly’s pumped-up wrists. Sly’s Mille of choice was the Richard Mille RM 032, a skeletonized dive watch complete with a flyback chronograph and annual calendar. Houston, problem solved.įor his latest turn as Barney Ross, Stallone chose to wear a Richard Mille-a youngblood watchmaker known for blending old-world watchmaking expertise with new-world technical innovation. Lovell and his fellow astronauts used Swigert’s Omega Speedmaster chronograph to measure the short intervals of time. Once the spaceship lost power, the astronauts were only able to burn the engine for 14 seconds at a time to make navigational trajectory adjustments to return safely to Earth before turning it off. It was astronaut Jack Swigert’s Omega Speedmaster that saved the lives of everyone aboard Apollo 13. While it is most famous for having adorned the wrists and space suits of astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, and Michael Collins for Apollo 11’s first lunar landing on July 20, 1969, it proved lifesaving for Apollo 13. The Omega Speedmaster was the timepiece of choice by NASA for astronauts venturing into the new space frontier thanks to its ability to withstand intense sunlight, cold, and g-force shock. Tom Hanks appropriately wore an Omega Speedmaster while re-creating astronaut Jim Lovell’s ill-fated journey aboard Apollo 13, when an oxygen-tank leak caused the crew to abort their lunar mission and return to Earth in a harrowing near-death experience. 90% of all exports from Northern Ireland to Australia are machinery and manufacturing goods – used extensively in Australia’s mining, quarrying and recycling sectors.More than 450 businesses in Wales exported to Australia last year, and life science companies and chemicals manufacturers are set to benefit in particular.Scotland exported £126m of beverages to Australia in 2020 - this deal will help distillers by removing tariffs of up to 5% on Scotch Whisky. It will provide benefits across the whole of the United Kingdom, including: The free trade deal will eliminate tariffs on Australian favourites like Jacob’s Creek and Hardys wines, swimwear and confectionery, boosting choice for British consumers and saving households up to £34 million a year. He picked cotton as a kid built himself a single-stringed "diddley bow" to play music painted a mustache on his face with a burnt match so he could perform in clubs at age 13, and has been a lifelong sober-by-choice, fiercely independent entertainer with just one bona fide hit ( "Chicken Heads") but dozens and dozens of stories to tell. His autobiography, "I Ain't Studdin' Ya: My American Blues Story," is a modest, plain-spoken yet compelling account of a hardscrabble life in the Deep South. He dropped out of school at age 11, lost three children to sickle cell anemia, suffered burns in a fire at his BBQ restaurant, walked away from a bus crash that killed a bandmate, did a prison stint for unwittingly transporting a promoter's cocaine, endured COVID at age 86 and admitted in his new autobiography that he cheated on his wife. If someone steals my laptop, it's not really much of a concern as far as that goes. When we work in Codespaces, the code is actually not on our computer at all. It's basically coding on your computer versus on a website. While Duolingo is using Tailscale and Codespaces for remote development, it’s not in the sense of remote working: the majority of the company work out of the firm’s Pittsburgh office. I also remember from reading Hacker News over the past many years, that Tailscale very frequently comes up as an option that people are happy with. It even came with code samples that I could easily adapt to our use case, which was far ahead of the others. That's where we use Tailscale.Ĭhaidarun briefly looked at other options like ZeroTier, but chose Tailscale due to the thorough and clear documentation. If we're going to be coding in an account with Codespaces, then we need some way to access those. We use Tailscale for accessing our private resources locally on our laptops, where we rely on our old VPN to secure certain private resources on AWS and the local office server. However, traditional VPNs can have latency and security issues due to public endpoints and unencrypted traffic.īuilt on the open-source WireGuard VPN protocol, Tailscale is a way round these problems, offering a zero config VPN for building secure networks. Collaborationįor this, Duolingo turned to Tailscale, a VPN for DevOps and infrastructure teams wanting to collaborate securely.įor engineering teams needing secure access to dynamic hosts, services and applications, VPNs are the answer. But we needed a similar solution for Codespaces. Chaidarun says:Ī lot of our development environment we don't have to expose to the world, it's behind a firewall, which was our old L2 VPN. However, the Codespaces deployment introduced a new requirement, as there's no way for it to get behind Duolingo’s firewall to access the private resources needed for development. It's also more consistent as the online environment is generated the same way from the same templates for everybody, as opposed to local instances where you rely on developers following instructions correctly. Codespaces made it easier and quicker to set up the development environment and be ready to code within a few minutes. In simple terms, it’s the same as the difference between local Microsoft Word where you’re tied to a particular physical device, and Google Docs, which you can connect from any laptop.ĭuolingo started using GitHub Codespaces around a year ago, which allowed its engineers to carry out their work in the cloud. The way a remote software engineer works is, the editor is online. They write it on their laptop, and then we push it to some repository, like GitHub. Normally, software engineers write code that runs on their laptop. As Art Chaidarun, Senior Staff Software Engineer at Duolingo, explains: There were a few problems with this approach.įirstly, when new developers joined the business, the amount of time taken to get them set up and ready to code second, the ability to work and collaborate in the cloud. Duolingo is also known for its social and environmental impact, and the melting app icon is a demonstration of that.Since language learning app Duolingo launched back in 2012, all its coding was done locally on engineer laptops or desktops. Duolingo is known for its innovative and playful approach to language learning, and the melting app icon is a reflection of that. The melting app icon is a creative way to align with Duolingo’s brand identity and mission. Aligns with Duolingo’s brand Identity and Mission It also creates a sense of reward and achievement for users who manage to keep the app icon solid and green. It creates a sense of urgency and challenge for users to use the app more often and to learn more languages. The melting app icon is a powerful way to increase user engagement and retention. This creates buzz and publicity for Duolingo, which can help it reach new audiences and markets. It also makes people talk about Duolingo and its anniversary and mission. It makes people wonder what is happening with Duo and why he is melting. Duolingo’s app icon is changed in an unexpected way that catches people’s attention. Download WhatsApp on your mobile device, tablet or desktop and stay connected with reliable private messaging and calling. Another common mistake is UTF-8 encoding text that is already UTF-8 encoded, which makes a real mess out of any text outside of the ASCII range (this produces a pretty recognizable pattern). Unicode, with UTF-8, gave us One True Way to handle that, and it's (wisely) what most of the world uses now, but there's still a lot of text out there in character sets like CP-1252, and a lot of misconfigured web servers blithely hand out that text without declaring the character set properly. Pretty much every character set of the past (many decades) agrees on how to interpret bytes 0x20 through 0x7f, in line with what was originally ANSI X3.4 (aka US-ASCII), but the interpretation of bytes over 0x7f varies wildly between character sets. Text is just a stream of bytes - 8-bit numbers - that must be interpreted through a specified character set. And, actually, from what little I've seen, there are quite a few web developers out there using Macs. This is a problem with webserver admins who don't know how to follow modern standards, not a problem with Macs. Funny characters showing up on web pages almost invariably happens because web servers are serving text that is encoded in one character set, but claiming it's encoded in another character set, like text in the archaic Windows CP-1252 character set, but claimed to be modern Unicode UTF-8, or vice versa. Chrome is the official web browser from Google, built to be fast, secure, and customizable. It's just HTML coding, a bunch of videos, and web pages from around the world in fact, I doubt many web pages are even created and updated on any of Apple's computers - it's a Windows/Linux world, judging from the number of foreign language characters that show up on Mac-rendered web pages, all those  (and other geographcal-specific letterforms) that riddle (literally and figuratively) a typical printed web page from Mac Os. Anyone still running iWeb -you know, "web design for the rest of us!" /s Scroll down and select Show this device when on Wi-Fi. But what web browser (other than Apple's Safari) requires that your computer have the latest OS releases installed first? Select your device in the sidebar of the Finder window, then click General on the right-hand side. (They do have minimal OS requirements, though). To a degree, Firefox doesn't require this, not does Google Chrome doesn't require this. Use your iPhone to take a picture or scan a document and have it automatically appear on your Mac. All the messages that appear on your iPhone appear on your Mac, too. Suddenly any software updates or security fixes require (currently) 10.15 and maybe 10.14.
